A common need when using Situm MRM is to know where people have been at a specific time and the performed route in a certain period. Through the Trajectories Report, Situm MRM allows you to revisit the past routes of each user, overlaying a marker with their location to show you where he was on a second-to-second basis.

After the user's Real-Time activity, Situm automatically generates the trajectories data that will be available via API and on the building's Situm Dashboard account.

(Tutorial video will be available soon).

You can visualize the new trajectories in the section Reports:

After clicking on Trajectories visualization, the home page will show a box on the high left corner to select the User/Device ID and the time of the trajectory that you'd like to see:

Below, we'll show you how to select the user/device ID and the interval to check:

1. Select range time and user/device info

The Trajectories visualization box allows to search for the route of the user/device ID that will be shown in this report:

On the following chart, we explain how to set each parameter in order to bring the trajectory activity which you'd like to check:

Date RangeSelect the date range in days, hours or weeks.
BuildingsChoose the building where you'd like to check the data.
GroupIf your use case is Tracking, you have this optional filter to help on selecting the users.
(You can have more info about the assigned groups here).
UserIf your use case is Tracking, you can select the user which you'd desire to get the info.
Device IDIf your use case is Wayfinding, you can check the user activity by adding the device ID here.

After choosing the data you'd like to visualize, you'll get a view of the trajectory including the positioning second-to-second, the user mark that indicates the positioning on its respective time, as well as a timeline control that allows managing the time previously selected on the Trajectories visualization box.

2. Summary and control

On this box you'll get the summary of the user activity as well as some tools to control the visualization:

The following chart explains the previous options:

Follow the user markerIf enabled, the camera view will always follow the user marker as it moves through the user through the different areas or floors.
Avoid positioning jumpsAllows filtering possible positioning jumps (e.g. user moving too fast). The more you move the tool towards left side, the lower the threshold in meters/second of what you consider "too fast".

3. Timeline control

This tool allows you to manage the visualization of the selected range time.

Play/PauseYou can select to play or pause the trajectory on its activity.
To move the user icon The indicated symbol shows the user marker at its respective time and position. You can freely move this tool to check the user marker position on the determined period.
Speed or delay the time rateSpeed or slow down the marker movement reproduction.
Go back to the entire time range The selected time range can be cut by the pushing the dark blue ends to the middle. This eyeglass icon allows go back to the entire searched period.
