When Situm stores the geolocations of an smartphone in Situm Platform, each geolocation will be associated to an unique identifier called the "Device Identifier" or "Device ID". This allows to recover the geolocation history of each device independently.

The Device ID is an unique pseudoanonymous identifier that Situm SDK generates for each device. The Device ID can be retrieved from Situm SDKs (e.g. with the SitumSdk.getDeviceID method in Android SDK), and also visualized in (1) Situm Mapping Tool and (2) Situm MRM apps.
