The core technology behind Situm is an algorithm that merges pre-existing information in the environment (magnetic fields, Bluetooth, WiFi) with data from sensors of smartphones (compass, gyroscope and accelerometer) to provide a high accuracy without the need of additional hardware.



First of all, the building where Situm will work has to be calibrated. The calibration process basically consists on gathering, using an smartphone, the pre-existing signals in the environment (WiFi, BLE, magnetic fields...)  to build the signal maps of the buildings.



From these calibrations, our AI algorithms create the signal maps that will be used to provide indoor & outdoor geolocation. Based on this accurate geolocation, you will be able to locate your users, guide them, show them geolocated promotions, monitor their movement and gather insights within your buildings.

 




Situm also provides a set of mobile SDKS, as well as REST APIs, that will allow you to create an endless list of wayfinding & tracking solutions: from guidance apps for shopping malls' visitors to indoor employee tracking & reporting modules for workforce management solutions.
