We spend more than 90% of our time indoors. However, location technologies like GPS only work outside buildings, but not indoors. To solve this issue, Situm provides an indoor and outdoor positioning platform for smartphones, that yields a high precision and requires a minimum investment in infrastructure. This platform has been successfully deployed in thousands of buildings around the world. Situm Platform is cloud platform, also available in on-premise mode, to develop and manage location-based solutions for guiding passengers, visitors and shoppers, and tracking and monitoring workforces and assets.  

The core technology behind Situm is our own algorithm that merges pre-existing information in the environment (magnetic fields, Bluetooth, WiFi) with data from sensors of smartphones (compass, gyroscope and accelerometer) to provide a high accuracy without the need of additional hardware.  

The robustness of our algorithm, thanks to the diversity of the different signals it processes, enables the most feature-rich positioning.
