The Federal Communications Commission is an agency of the United States of America's Federal Government created to regulate all forms of telecommunications, radio, TV, telephony and otherwise.

A certification by the FCC is one that proves that a device has passed the most rigorous approval process that there is for Radio Frequency Devices that have the greatest potential to cause harmful interference to radio services. This means that the electromagnetic interference that the device both emits and receives is under limits set and approved by the FCC.
