To get the user location density report through the dashboard you can either click on Reports on the menu on the left in the global overview of your account:

Or on the menu on the top inside the building view:

and then select Heatmap on the Stay Reports section.

Not unlike the previous analytics section (Users), you will have to specify a date range. However, depending on how you choose to do this, your selection box will look different.

Global

  • You will be able to select the building you want to get the heatmap from without having to go straight into the building.
  • As per usual, you will need to specify a Floor and Date range.
  • By clicking on More Filters you will be able to refine your search by way of selecting a User or a Device

Note: However, if you aren't able to see these filters, it may be possible that the feature is not active for your account. Please, contact support@situm.com to have it activated.

Building:

  • You will only be able to specify a Floor and Date range.
  • By clicking on More Filters you will be able to refine your search by way of selecting a User or a Device

Note: As before, if you aren't able to see these filters, it may be possible that the feature is not active for your account. Please, contact support@situm.com to have it activated.

In both cases, once all fields are covered and the 'Show Heatmap' button is clicked, you will get said heatmap in the area where there was the most traffic during the date range you've specified:

As shown in the image above, there are a few new additions that will allow you to tailor the report to your needs:

  • You will be able to select the colour gradient of your choice from a list of four different ones.
  • You will be able to change the Radius, Opacity and Intensity of the Heatmap.
  • You may toggle between floors without having to regenerate the report. The data will be stored in caché.
  • You may  enable the 3D view, which will make your report very pleasant to look at!
    • Hovering over each section will give you the amount of positions calculated in that specific area
    • On 3D view, you may filter data on show/hide hexagons by positions in order to change the weight of the positions on each bar graph.
