Once logged in, the following screen will be shown
Positioning
The positioning will start automatically. The status of the positioning will be displayed on the upper side of the screen. If Situm is being able to estimate the user's location, the following message will be shown
In case Situm is able to compute the user Indoor Location within one of the building's configured with Situm, the app will show the name of the building in a message such as the following.
Otherwise, a similar message will be rendered, but instead of the name of building, the message will just say "Outdoor" to indicate that the Outdoor Location is being computed.
Alarms
The user may send an alarm at any time by:
- Pressing the "Send an alarm" button.
- Tapping the phone repeatedly.
An alarm will be generated, associated with the current user geolocation, and sent to Situm Platform. This alarm will be rendered in Situm Dashboard.
Error codes
In case something is not right, the system will let the user know by displaying a banner similar to the one shown above, but in red.
Some of the meanings are described as follows:
- No connection: The device does not have connection to the internet.
- User not in building: The device is not inside the building that has been assigned to it through the web application.
- Building model download error: If a network error were to occur during positioning, this error might show up. In case it was to happen, the best solution is to log out from the application, check mobile data is active, clear app cache in Settings and log back in.
- Starting positioning: This message will be displayed in the case the system doesn't detect a reliable position in the assigned building.
- The building is not found: This message is displayed when the building is not accessible. The best way to fix it is by checking that the user has a building assigned and then logging out of the mobile application and logging in again.
