The Display and Advanced Settings screen lets you configure the settings described in the following table.

Check if the are around you is too crowdedIf enabled, Situm Mapping Tool will check automatically (while you are positioning) if there is too much people around you, in order to help you avoiding crowds.  


This is done by downloading the location of all the users in the building and:
  1. Meassuring the distance between these locations and your own.  
  2. Counting the people inside the same geofence as you are.
This is an experimental feature. Enable it only if you want to test how Situm can be used to avoid crowds.

Safety distanceDistance (in meters) within which other user will be considered "too close".   Adjust to the desired distance. Keep in mind that Situm has an average error of 1-3 meters, so distances below 2-5 meters may lead to false positives / negatives.
Maximum number of people close byMaximum number of people (not including yourself) that can be within the safety distance. If there are more people than this limit, an alert will be shown.Adjust to the maximum number of persons you consider tolerable. 
Maximum number of people inside the same geofenceMaximum number of people (not including yourself) that can be inside the same geofence as you. If there are more people than this limit, an alert will be shown.Adjust to the maximum number of persons you consider tolerable.

Interval for system tray notification
Time (in seconds) between each two consecutive crowd checks. 

Show indications during navigationIf enabled, text wayfinding indications will be shown in the Positioning Screen while you are following a route.Enable it always. Make sure to configure the indications according to the user experience you want to achieve.

Show geofences over the mapIf enabled, geofences will be shown on top of the map on the Positioning and Calibration Screens.Enable it only if you want to visualize the geofences that you have configured in Situm Dashboard.

Otherwise, showing all the geofences may be distracting.

Use account themeIf enabled, the app shows the custom logo and colours that you have configured for your account in Situm Dashboard.

Your custom logo & settings will only be shown after you log in. The login screen and the application logo will maintain the Situm look & feel.

Auto-scale floor plansIf enabled, the app decreases the size of the floorplans to avoid consumming too much memory.Enable it always. Otherwise, if the floorplans are too heavy, the app may crash in low/mid-end devices due to a high use of memory.

You may safely disable this option in high-end devices.

Show sensors info

Show debug positioning infoIf enabled, the Positioning Screen will show and update every few seconds:
  • Number of WiFi access points scanned in the last reading.
  • Number of BLE beacons scanned in the last reading.
  • SNR of the GPS in the last reading.
Enable it always. It will help you to have an approximate idea of the quality of the sensor readings that your smartphone is gathering (which is useful to troubleshoot positioing errors).
Use ground truthIf enabled, in the Positioning Screen you will be able to indicate where you are while you are positioning. Enable it only if Situm Support Team has advised you to do so. This feature is intended for troubleshooting purposes: by telling us where you are, we can help you troubleshoot any positioning issues that may arise.How to use the Ground Truth
Revoke data treatment consentYou may revoke your data treatment consent here. Use it only if you want to revoke your data consent. Keep in mind that, without this consent, we can not provide the service (therefore, you will not be able to use the application).
