Open areas are large spaces without any reference point. The goal is to cover the whole space with the minimum amount of walking involved. We recommend to:
- First of all, perform the calibration following the perimeter path (---) of the open area.
- Then, walk in a zig-zag path (---). Do this several times to cover the whole space, intersecting the paths as much as necessary.
The following figure contains an example on how to calibrate an open area.
